Small group lessons are run all year round on both our outdoor rubber arena and on grass. You will be matched with a horse or pony that is suitable for your size, weight and ability. These lessons are either 30 minutes or 1 hour long with a duty instructor. We run in all weathers unless it is deemed unsafe to ride by the yard owner.

We provide crash skulls to the correct legal standard for those who do not own their own.
Clothing advice and minimum riding age details are given in our Terms and Conditions. 

For tiny children aged 3 or 4 we offer a 15 minute individual 'wander' to enjoy the experience of having a pony ride.

Private Lessons


If you are a complete beginner, or would like a 1-2-1 lesson then a private lesson with one of the instructors could be just the thing for you. You can also bring your own horse along as we have plenty of parking for boxes and trailers.


These lessons will give you the chance to focus totally on you and your horse, and can be tailored to things like improving your position and co-ordinating your aids, or learning dressage movements and exercises to improve your horse.


We can help you prepare for competitions. Private lessons can be on the flat or jumping.


A shared private lesson (max. 2 people) is also available if required.

Our 'Own a Pony' weeks in the summer holidays are always popular so enquire early. These run for four  consecutive days. Each rider is carefully matched to their pony or horse, and they are responsible for the care of the pony/horse for those four days (with assistance from the instructors).

Activities include daily lessons, stable management, and, on the final day a competition that everyone can have a go at, regardless of their ability.

Our One Day Courses run in other school holidays. 
We includes a riding lesson, activities and a competition such as a Treasure Hunt

Courses for adults are run from time to time, and we also run a competition for adults such as a Dressage test, Show-jumping or One day event.

Liveries

A small number of competitively priced livery spaces are available.
Full livery is a great way to keep a horse if you are time limited where their daily care is concerned. 
Includes:
mucking out/*bedding down/rug/ turnout/feed and haylage. (*Shavings extra)

D.I.Y. livery  
Includes use of stable, turnout, haylage and straw.

Exercising can be carried out at extra cost.

Holiday livery is occasionally possible in the summer months. Please ask for availability.

We have CCTV and a secure, alarmed tack room.
